About the Position
Join our passionate and dedicated Business Services team as our newest Payroll Officer and Administration Assistant!

👌 Providing fortnightly payroll processing for 160+ employees via the Employment Hero Payroll application.
📒Playing a vital role in reviewing and implementing entitlements including allowances and overtime across a range of business types and industrial instruments. Our employees are covered by the Children’s Services Award, Educational Services (Teachers) Award, National Employment Standards and our own Enterprise Agreement.
🖥️Utilising your HRIS and payroll application knowledge to continually implement improvements and efficiencies to Employment Hero Payroll.
📝Drafting and disseminating accurate documentation relating to payroll reporting and statistics to internal teams, external agencies and external auditors in line with agreed timelines.
🙌 Collaborating with employees to increase their operational knowledge of the Employment Hero HRIS and payroll application.
😀Above all, bringing a cheerful attitude and compassionate approach to every interaction with colleagues, residents, children and broader stakeholders.
About You
As our Payroll Officer and Administration Assistant, you will be excited to bring the following qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience to our team:
✔️Certificate or qualification in payroll, bookkeeping or business will be highly regarded! In lieu of such qualifications we are more than happy to consider your professional payroll experience.
✔️ Demonstrated knowledge of the WorkSafe Victoria workers compensation scheme as it relates to payroll processes and procedures.
✔️Knowledge of payroll tax requirements leave reconciliations and termination activities.
✔️Responsive, reliable and dependable in nature with the ability to effectively self-manage in line with deadlines.
✔️ Exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication and literacy capabilities.
✔️Administratively adept, with a high level of attention to detail when completing work tasks.
✔️High degree of tact and professionalism, particularly when being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.
✔️Compassionate and motivated to achieve positive outcomes within early years and aged care industries.

Board Directors:
We invite suitably skilled people to nominate for one of four ‘Casual’ Director positions, due to current directors retiring or ending their appointed term. A Casual Director may hold office until the November AGM, then being eligible for formal election. A general term is 3 years, approximately 11 board meetings per year, AGM and subcommittee meeting attendance is expected.
The Board is responsible for the overall governance, management and strategic direction of the organisation and for delivering accountable corporate performance in accordance with the organisation’s goals and objectives.
Nominations must be proposed and seconded by directors of the company.
The person being nominated must either sign the nomination form or the person being nominated must separately indicate in writing their willingness to be nominated.
